LTE, or long-term evolution, is the gold standard in wireless communication. And like the Bell network, it keeps getting better. Last year our 4G LTE network reached speeds of up to 75 Mbps. This year, they’re getting even faster, reaching up to 150 Mbps in some areas. Already the largest LTE network in Canada, we are committed to rolling-out LTE speeds and performance until they’re available to Bell customers from coast-to-coast.Learn more about the Bell LTE network
We’ve added more towers and improved our in-building coverage to give customers a better, stronger, more reliable signal in more places across Canada. Last year alone, our engineers drove over 1.4 million kilometers optimizing the network. That’s equivalent to driving from Halifax to Vancouver 300 times.
Building, maintaining and continually enhancing the Bell network takes hard work and dedication. 4300 engineers strong, Bell only hires the most passionate and professional engineers to manage and support our network, all with the shared goal of providing Canadians with the absolute best, most advanced mobile experience and proving that mobility networks are not created equal.
Covering over 97% of the population, Bell offers access to the largest 4G network in Canada. We’re also proud to say that unlike some other carriers, the Bell network never falls back to 2G. Always moving forward, we’re now working to provide more Canadians access to even faster speeds and performance as we continue to roll out our LTE network.See our interactive coverage map
